After a very troubled start to the season, Mike Brown was recently fired as head coach of the Sacramento Kings.
What led to his dismissal from the team?
That’s a question that many people are asking and the answers are coming to light.
Speaking on “Run It Back,” per NBACentral, Lou Williams said Brown recently asked DeMar DeRozan to come off the bench.
That suggestion didn’t sit well with DeRozan or the team and it led to some serious strife between Brown and the locker room.
Could this have been the final straw for the team’s front office?

DeRozan was the big acquisition the Kings accomplished in the summer and he immediately started playing in the team’s starting five.
He has averaged 20.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.0 assists this season.
But even with the addition of DeRozan, the team has faced a slew of problems.
The chemistry doesn’t seem to be there and the team is often clunky and confused when on the court.
Perhaps that is why Brown thought of moving DeRozan to the bench.
He may have had the best intentions, but the team didn’t like this choice, and Williams said it made the locker room lose faith in Brown even more.
The front office must have caught wind of that and made their decision to let him go.
A coach cannot function if his players don’t believe in him and it’s become clear that’s the situation Brown found himself in.
Now it’s time to see if the Kings can rebound and find cohesion without Brown.
Will the chemistry get stronger with Brown long gone and DeRozan firmly in the starting lineup?
