The Sacramento Kings just said goodbye to their former head coach, Mike Brown.
That’s a massive change that could completely shake up the squad, but will even more team modifications be coming?
According to Evan Sidery, “buzz is growing around De’Aaron Fox’s future with the Kings.”
Sidery wrote:
“As Sacramento is currently on a six-game losing streak, teams are preparing for Fox to potentially ask out by the trade deadline.”
He added that the Kings have “no intention” of trading Fox, but the situation could change if he asked out.

Kings fans hoped that Brown’s firing would calm Fox and the rest of the roster.
Such a substantial change should ideally be enough to buy more time with the best stars on the team, but maybe that isn’t the case.
Perhaps Fox’s dissatisfaction with the Kings runs much deeper than that, and Brown’s departure does nothing to change it.
As Sidery noted, teams are preparing for Fox to possibly ask out before the trade deadline.
If he does indeed demand a trade, he will become one of the biggest targets on the trade market.
There are already several teams interested in Fox, including the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Rockets, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Lakers.
But if speculation turns to reality and Fox asks out of Sacramento, more teams would be jumping at the chance to sign him.
Fox is currently averaging 26.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 6.3 assists in 2024-25.
The Kings might be having troubles, but Fox has been incredibly solid yet again, which is further proof that front offices would do whatever they must to sign him.
