IBGHD 2019 Day 28 The Ruby Robinson Beanie

Hello hello!  Welcome to day 28. Eee so close to the end of the month! I hope everyone is travelling well.Today's pattern is a super easy worked flat ribbed beanie. This is probably the most basic beanie a beginner could make, so if you are new to crochet and want to have a crack, this is the one to start with :) This beanie will fit a bub of 32 weeks gestation. Amount Of Yarn Used: 51 Meters/56 Yards/19g of 4seasons Marvel 8PlyHook Size: 4mmYarn: DK/8Ply 1: ch26, hdc into the 2nd ch from hook and in the next 19 chs, slsy in the last 5 chs. -20hdc, 5slst2: ch2, turn, hdc blo in each st across. - 25hdc3: ch2, turn, hdc blo in the first 20 sts, slst blo in the last 5 sts. - 20hdc, 5slstRepeat rounds 2 and 3 for another 27 rows, or until you reach 36cm in length.End off leaving a very long tail. Sew up the side if the beanie, and then gather the top (the starting chain end is the top). Pull tight to close the beanie. Optional: You could add a small pompom to the top should you want to.

US Terms

Key:
St - Stitch
Ch - Chain
Slst - Slip Stitch
Blo - Back Loop Only
Hdc - Half Double Crochet

Instructions in * * should be repeated
Starting chain counts as first stitch, and in the end round stitch count. 

Sized for:
32 Weeks Gestation
