VICE-PRESIDENT W.K Mutale-Nalumango says Zambia recognises the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in driving socio-economic development and improving service delivery.
Ms Mutale-Nalumango said for Africa, AI was a strategic asset crucial to achieving the Agenda 2063 goals and the Sustainable Development Goals, with potential to ignite new industries, fuel innovation, and create high-value jobs, while preserving and advancing African culture and integration.
She said this in a keynote address at the opening ceremony of the 2024 World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit in China yesterday.
