The win also moved the Terriers into the #6 slot in the Pairwise Rankings.In early January, the Terriers swept the Catamounts at Agganis Arena, 6-1, and 7-4. Vermont finished the first half at 7-8-1, but have struggled in 2025 with just four wins in their last 15 outings. Last weekend, the Cats were edged by Maine, 4-3, and lost to UConn, 4-1.Senior Joel Maata leads the UVM offense with 27 points, followed by freshmen Colin Kessler (22) and Max Strand (21) and senior Simon Jellus (20). #13 Terriers will seek their first Hockey East tournament title since 2015 when they take on cross-town rival Northeastern in the championship game at the Toscano Family Skating Center at UConn today. Puck drop is at Noon for the contest that can be seen on ESPN News and will live stream on ESPN+.

At stake along with the conference title is a berth in the NCAA tournament.
