Styling Fine Hair for Volume
Styling fine hair for volume is easy with Styling Mist for Natural Hold and Volume and a few simple techniques. Simplicity is vital when it comes to styling hair. Over working fine hair will leave it flat.
1. Wash and Condition for Volume
Give fine hair a good base for styling by washing hair with a volumising shampoo and conditioner. You can give fine hair an extra boost by deep conditioning with Restore and Shine Hair Masque. It gets moisture to the core of the hair, plumping out the cuticle for more volume.
After washing and conditioning, rinse and pat the hair dry, removing excess water. Hair should be wet but not dripping wet. It’s vital to be gentle with the hair at this point. Being too rough will damage the cuticle, resulting in moisture loss. I recommend gently squeezing the hair with a microfibre towel to get rid of excess water.
2. Spritz for Volume
Spritz the hair with volumizer, Styling Mist for Natural Hold and Volume. 2 to 3 pumps is enough. I recommend spraying the mist directly above your head and letting it fall on to the hair. It gives a more even spread on the hair.
3. Dry Hair Upside Down
Use hairdryer to dry hair upside down, using your fingers to create root lift.
4. Velcro Rollers (optional)
Apply a couple of Velcro rollers for lift and wave (optional).
5. Backcomb with a Fine Toothcomb
For EXTRA volume, use a fine tooth comb to backcomb hair.
