Regent Seven Seas Grandeur: 11 Secrets To Know Before You Sail
MORE TIME TO TRAVEL Sailing on Regent Seven Seas Grandeur? Here are some secrets about what to see and do on this luxury ship. MORE TIME TO TRAVEL - Explore new places and savor new tastes

Regent Seven Seas Grandeur is the newest addition to Regent Cruise Lines’ fleet of ultra-luxury, all-inclusive, all-suite ships, which includes five other ships: Navigator, Mariner, Voyager, Explorer, and Splendor.
Grandeur is regarded as a small ship, accommodating a maximum of 746 guests.
Like its sister ships, Splendor and Explorer, it offers 15 categories of suites, all of which feel more like roomy apartments than typical cruise cabins. The ship’s most notable stateroom is the Regent Suite, which is an enormous 4,433 square feet, including balconies, and has the ambiance of a luxury ranch home.
Because these magnificent suites are so comfortable, spacious and beautifully appointed, guests might be easily tempted to spend more time ‘en suite’ than usual.
However, Regent Seven Seas Grandeur also offers many secrets and not-so-obvious hidden gems waiting to be explored in gracious public spaces that always feel uncrowded.
Here are some of the secrets of the ship we discovered while sailing on board:
1) Elevate Your Relaxation With Two Levels of Serenity

You can sink into a world of relaxation as you discover not one but two levels of outdoor lounges.
The Pool Deck (Deck 11) offers an oasis with lounge chairs surrounding a beautiful pool with two whirlpools. But if you venture up to Deck 12, you’ll find an even quieter retreat with gentle ocean breezes, panoramic views, and ample seating.
2) Lose Yourself In A Literary Haven

Step into the ship’s library, which has decor reminiscent of a Parisian bookstore.
This is one of the most appealing libraries at sea, with velvet daybeds beside the windows and a curated collection of books spanning multiple genres, including some rare editions.
3) Savor Epicurean Delights at Lunch

You can savor exquisite cuisine not only during dinner but also at lunchtime.
You can return to your favorite no-extra-charge specialty restaurants at lunch, such as Prime 7 (the steakhouse), Chartreuse (the French bistro), or Pacific Rim (the Pan-Asian restaurant), to explore other appetizing items on the menu.
4) Enjoy Al Fresco Dining at La Veranda

Expansive sea views and temperate weather can create the perfect setting for a leisurely lunch.
La Veranda is located on a shaded open deck at the ship’s stern. It’s rarely crowded, and you will be sheltered from the wind.
5) Find Plant-Based Delights Across Seven Dining Venues

For vegan travelers, Grandeur offers a plant-based paradise with over 200 culinary creations spanning all seven dining venues.
New vegan dishes on the menu range from Impossible Salisbury Steak with truffle butter to Pacific Rim poke salad. At breakfast, guests can opt for chia yogurt and homemade granola.
6) Your wish is their command: Service Beyond Expectations

Whether you are craving a bespoke dish, specialty cocktail, or a unique musical request at the lounge to celebrate your anniversary, the solicitous crew is always ready to say yes.
The Executive Chef told us about a family who wanted a Thai dinner. With a team of 89 chefs from 43 countries on board, he was able to create a special menu for them with authentic Thai ingredients and preparations.
7) Indulge in Frozen Coffee Crema

Transport your taste buds to Italy and place your order for frozen coffee crema with the barista at the Coffee Connection on Deck 5.
This incredibly tasty, refreshing, and addictive cross between espresso and gelato is the perfect pick-me-up. With a nod to the Italian coffee culture, you can also order a cappuccino, French press coffee, a macchiato, or other specialty coffees (at no extra charge), which will be delivered to your table.
You can also savor your coffee at the more sedate Meridian Lounge just across from the Coffee Connection.
8) Serenity at the Spa Without The Price Tag

Rejuvenate your body and soul without booking a treatment!
From 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM, guests can take advantage of all the amenities offered at Serene Spa & Wellness at the aft of Deck 10.
These include an infrared sauna, steam room, cold room, and relaxation room. The outdoor area with three hot tubs and plenty of seating is a hidden treasure.
9) Find Intimacy and Romance at Compass Rose

We can’t guarantee it will work every time, but it worked for us twice.
At dinner, ask the host at Compass Rose (the main dining room) for a “romantic table for two.” If you are lucky, you may be seated in an intimate corner or table next to the window.
10) Find Friends & Fun in the Card Room

There are more than cards in the Card Room on Deck 11.
If you are a Mah Jongg maven or a beginner, you can join one of the non-hosted games that begin at 1:30 PM daily. The cabinets are stacked with sets and up-to-date Mah Jongg cards, so you don’t need to bring your own. It’s a great way to make fast friends.
It’s also where bridge players meet, and you can find various other tabletop games to pique your curiosity.
11) Seize Every Moment: Navigate Your Voyage with Passages

Stay informed by reading Passages, the daily newsletter, that guides you to all the enriching experiences awaiting you on board and on shore.
Whatever you do, you’ll feel pampered and cared for beyond imagination by an attentive Regent crew. Bon voyage!
