Project Bone-RADS
Project Bone-RADS was an editorial project aimed at the update and revision of several articles on the most common bone lesions encountered in imaging. It was inspired by the white paper Guidelines for the Diagnostic Management of Incidental Solitary Bone Lesions on CT and MRI in Adults: Bone Reporting and Data System (Bone-RADS) by Chang et al. published in Skeletal Radiology.From April-August 2022 the following was done: major revision/update – 34 articles solitary sclerotic bone lesion subchondral cyst/geode intraosseous ganglion intraosseous hemangioma osteoid osteoma osteoblastoma simple bone cyst aneurysmal bone cyst giant cell tumor chondroblastoma clear cell chondrosarcoma multiple myeloma intraosseous lipoma bone infarction enostosis sclerosing bone dysplasia non-ossifying fibroma fibrous dysplasia enchondroma Paget disease focal fatty marrow bone marrow (also as part of the R22 project) osteochondroma endosteal scalloping periosteal reaction bone metastases sclerotic bone metastases mixed lytic and sclerotic bone metastases lytic bone metastases chondroblastoma vs clear cell chondrosarcoma fibroxanthoma of bone benign fibrous histiocytoma fibrous cortical defect liposclerosing myxofibrous tumor new creations – 6 articles osteolytic bone lesion mixed density bone lesion high T1 bone lesion low T1 bone lesion bone remodeling soft tissue mass The team consisted of Dr Henry Knipe, radiologist, United Kingdom Dr Sonam Vadera, registrar, United Kingdom Dr Jeremy Jones, radiologist, United Kingdom Dr Joachim Feger, radiologist, Germany
