HACIENDA HEIGHTS - One person was killed after a box truck collided with a semi tractor trailer Tuesday morning.
The crash between the 30,000-pound box truck and trailer occurred in the far right lanes of the eastbound 60 freeway just west of Hacienda Boulevard around 11:08 a.m. February 4. One person was trapped in the wreck, according to California Highway traffic logs.
The injured person died at the scene.
It appeared the box truck rear-ended the trailer. First responders closed down most lanes temporarily for the investigation.
Investigators are determining the cause of the crash.
