On Saturday 1st September James organised a picnic at Moorfield where we had our very first date. My mom was visiting from Cape Town and I thought it was organised for the families and friends to hang out and relax for the day… Little did I know that after my mom and James convinced me to go on the same walk we did on our first date, I’d come back to see the girls, running towards me in t-shirts saying “will you” “marry me”! I turned around and there James was getting down on one knee. I was so surprised that I can’t even remember half of what he said to me ???????????? I do know it was along the lines of - although we’ve been together such a short time, it feels like we’ve known each other forever and that he knows he wants to spend his life with me. I couldn’t have been more bowled over with all the effort him, our families, and close friends put into this for the last MONTH without me knowing a thing!!
