Merrimack finishes No. 2 in the MAAC with Marist's loss on Saturday

Mount St. Mary’s defeated Marist 62-52 on Saturday afternoon, clinching the No. 2 seed for the Merrimack men’s basketball team in the upcoming MAAC tournament.

The Warriors, the No. 2 seed in the tournament, will receive a first-round bye. They will face the winner of the No. 7 vs. No. 10 first-round game on Wednesday (8:30) at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J.

Quinnipiac finished as the No. 1 seed.

Marist lost four straight games to close out the season, which allowed the Warriors to finish second.
