Insider Says Heat Could Have Interest In Trading For Kings Star

The news of De’Aaron Fox possibly leaving the Sacramento Kings shook up the NBA on Tuesday.

Now everyone is paying close attention to which teams work to acquire the young guard.

According to Evan Sidery, fans should “keep an eye” on the Miami Heat because they might get involved in trade talks for Fox.

The team has “coveted a younger star who fits on Bam Adebayo’s timeline,” Sidery said, suggesting that Fox might be that sort of star.

Plus, they could flip some of the assets they get in a Jimmy Butler trade over to the Kings to make a Fox deal happen.

Fox and Adebayo playing together makes sense because they are old friends from their days at Kentucky and have natural chemistry.

They could do incredible things if they were on the same team.

The Heat are attempting to build a post-Butler future and they envision Fox as part of that.

He is a young star who could be the centerpiece of the team’s backcourt.

Plus, if he is playing with his old friend, he may be more inclined to sign a long-term deal with Miami instead of becoming a free agent in 2026.

The Heat will have tough competition to get Fox, including from the San Antonio Spurs.

Inside reporting says that Fox would like to play for the Spurs and would be willing to ink a long contract with them.

But if that can’t happen, he might be pleased by the concept of heading to Miami, starting the team’s next chapter, and playing with his friend.
