Innovate, Educate, Inspire: Transforming Teaching and Learning for Tomorrow
Today, I had the pleasure of teaching a Zentangle Basics class at the North Vancouver Teachers' Association (NVTA) Professional Development Conference, held at Carson Graham Secondary School. The conference, themed "Innovate, Educate, Inspire: Transforming Teaching and Learning for Tomorrow," brought together educators eager to explore new methodologies and creative practices.
My workshop aimed to introduce participants to the Zentangle Method—a relaxing and intuitive art form that enhances focus, creativity, and well-being. Throughout the session, educators learned fundamental tangles and techniques, experiencing firsthand how Zentangle can be integrated into educational settings to promote mindfulness and artistic expression.

The enthusiasm and engagement of the attendees was truly inspiring. Many educators expressed excitement about incorporating Zentangle into their classrooms, recognizing its potential to support student mindfulness and creativity. It was rewarding to witness participants embrace the Zentangle philosophy of "one stroke at a time," fostering a sense of accomplishment and relaxation.
I am grateful to the NVTA for organizing this enriching conference and providing a platform for educators to explore innovative practices. Sharing the Zentangle Method with such a dedicated group of professionals was a highlight, and I look forward to seeing how they integrate this art form into their teaching practices.
