Inflatable People following the participants of the first Swedish Packrafting Roundup in Spring 2016. It is the first Urban Packrafter film to be screened at a major film festival About Inflatable People Inflatable People is an short documentary about a small international community of people that do packrafting - Paddle with small and light inflatable raft called packrafts. In the movie they meet for the very fist time at the first Swedish Packraft Roundup deep in the Swedish forest. They come from all over the world and is often alone about packrafting in their home towns. In the film we follow the Inflatable People on their journey down river and see them paddle - and swim - fierce rapids and drink whiskey around the camp fire. Meet the inflatable people and step into the emerging international packrafting scene in Sweden. With Inflatable People I wanted to give the audience a gaze into the rising packrafting community. I want to show why a group grownup arrange to go into middle of a Swedish boreal forest to paddle rapids in small inflatable dinghies. The making of the film was special to me because it portrait a community which I’m myself is a part of. I'm a inflatable People two and I wanted to give a short and honest portrait about us and the niche outdoor culture that we attend. Awarded with Debutant Prize Inflatable People get selected to participate in the Nordic Adventure Film Festival and was screened in cinemas at Copenhagen and Aarhus. The festival nominated Inflatable People in four categories including Best Danish Movie and the film ended up winning the Debutant Prize. We celebrated with champagne.
