Iceland opens for tourism again. Will anyone come?

No later than next June 15, 2020, Iceland opens for tourism again after the pandemic.  If you can travel, you can come.  To skip the two-week quarantine up on arrival you will be tested for the virus or asked to provide your own test results from home. Mind you, the tests in Iceland will be free of charge and you’ll have the results in a matter of hours. What can you expect when you come? A Covid free nation? Yes, most probably since the sparsely populated big island only has 5 persons quarantined and no-one hospitalised (May 19). But can you travel? It will depend a great deal where you come from and you have to study your possibilities carefully. With very few tourists expected this summer, it’s clear it might be the perfect time to come to Iceland and be treated like royalties. Oh, by the way, Iceland is again, 12th year in a row considered the safest place on the planet. Remember, last year Iceland only had 2 million visitors while the country of the same size, Hungary got 32 million. And the population of Iceland is the same as Coventry, UK or Aurora, Colorado (must be nice places). 86 percent of respondents state they trust Iceland when it comes to matters related to the COVID-19 pandemic according to a brand-new survey by Icelandair. Want to consider coming? Check this private tour from Iceland Discovery, which comes with a 10% discount from June – August. This one will give you many of Iceland’s famed sites in just few days.
