When DeMar DeRozan joined the Sacramento Kings in the summer, many fans were intrigued by what he could bring to the team.
Obviously, he’s a talented basketball player but he could assist the team beyond his scoring.
Speaking with SiriusXM NBA Radio, Kings big man Domantas Sabonis spoke about DeRozan’s impact on Sacramento.
He said that DeRozan brings a lot of experience and wisdom.
“A lot of guys including me are picking his brain,” Sabonis said, adding that DeRozan is very happy to share his knowledge of the game.

This will be DeRozan’s 16th season in the NBA and he has already done so much in his career.
He’s a six-time All-Star and has been on All-NBA teams there times.
DeRozan has a career average of 21.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.1 assists and is considered one of the smartest and most effective players in the league, especially when it comes to the fourth quarter and crunch time.
The Kings jumped at the chance to sign DeRozan, not just because of the numbers he produces but also because of how smart he is and how he views basketball.
This is something that could really help the Kings, who are fairly young and inexperienced, particularly when it comes to the playoffs.
They need a definitive leader who can guide them and that is a role DeRozan can play perfectly.
There is a chance that DeRozan’s time in Sacramento doesn’t go as planned.
Injuries and age could get in the way and prevent this from being a productive time for the 35-year-old star.
But it’s clear that the Kings are eager for DeRozan’s wisdom and he’s ready to lead them.
