Today, we’re taking a moment to recognize the compassion, commitment, and resilience of the people who make abortion care possible — physicians, nurses, midwives, doulas, volunteers, receptionists, advocates, donors, and so many more. Abortion is an essential form of healthcare, yet abortion providers face more unnecessary barriers to providing this care than many other health services. So, to everyone providing abortion care and those continuing to fight for a person’s right to know and decide what’s best for them and their families – thank you. 

Abortion providers are part of a powerful, resilient community, showing up every day to make sure this care stays available, even as access becomes harder to protect. Providing abortion care is an act of hope and commitment to the future. Let’s keep showing up for each other, sharing knowledge, and using our collective voices to keep this care accessible.

1. Send a digital thank you note.

Let abortion providers know that they have your support and appreciation by leaving a Kudoboard message here for them to see. Your kind words can make a big difference. 

2. Host a letter-writing party.

Get together with other reproductive healthcare supporters to write physical letters to providers. You can download and print this postcard or create your own. Find a list of clinics here.

3. Follow, share, and amplify abortion providers on social media.

Ensure others in your network know about National Abortion Provider Appreciation Day by posting or re-sharing content using the hashtag #CelebrateAbortionProviders on any platform, starting today March 10th, and onwards!

4. Donate to those providing care.
