If you are looking for a Sebo, XP10, XP20 or XP30 orange power cord, then we can point you in the right direction.

You may not call it a power cord, you may call it a lead, flex, cable, or wire, but either way, we’re talking about the same thing.

Sebo X series models do have a tendency, over time, for the cable to break up inside where it enters the handle. This causes intermittent power loss, and the best solution is usually a new power cord.

You can shorten the cable, but as the rest of the cable is as aged and as used as the broken bit, it is usually not too long until you’re doing it again and again, so it is better to replace the full thing. Luckily, it’s quite an inexpensive thing to do.

Power cords are not covered under the Sebo commercial warranty either, this is because they are regarded as a consumable. Their longevity is dictated by usage and wear and tear.

That a power cord is not covered by warranty also means that replacing it yourself doesn’t affect the warranty on your machine. In other words, if you replace a cable after 8 months of heavy use and your motor blows up (unlikely with a Sebo, but still) after 11 months, nobody is going to try and wriggle out of the motor warranty on the basis you swapped a lead, flex or power cord on your XP Sebo.

Here at the Sebo shop at Manchester Vacs, we have been having our own replacement power cables manufactured for some time. The reason we do this is because the original ones (part number 5260OR) sourced from Sebo are too expensive (and not under warranty anyway), and the other aftermarket ones that are available in the marketplace were simply not good enough quality for us, so we made our own.

Manufacturing our own also allowed us to put the cool rubbery cable tidy clip on there that features on domestic Sebos but not, strangely on commercial ones anymore.

Don’t buy poor-quality budget flexes or power cords from platforms like eBay and Amazon. Cheap Chinese cables fail prematurely and are a false economy. They won’t have the proper cable tidy clip on, they’ll usually be the wrong length so they hang oddly on your machine and they won’t be terminated correctly. Spend a couple of pounds more and get a good quality flex.

Note: If you have a Sebo Evolution, you want >>this power cord<< instead.

Of course, you can replace your orange XP cable with our standard grey one, or even our heavy-duty grey one, but as many XP machines are used in commercial and industrial environments, your health and safety people often insist on a replacement orange cable if you are going to fit one.

It’s a relatively simple DIY job for anybody with reasonable practical skills and indeed we have a tuition video that shows you exactly how to do it so you can watch below.

We also sell our own replacement cable grommets as they can split over time as well.

Our orange cable, being a standard 10m 0.75 mm flex, is also suitable for the entire BS range, Sebo Duo machines and other Sebo-made vacuums that are alternatively branded such as Taski and Ensign.

Our products are packaged in our own branded cardboard boxes for a purpose. We’ve chosen cardboard over plastic to reduce unnecessary waste in packaging. After receiving your order, you can recycle the box or even better, repurpose it to store various items in your workshop. And next time you need something, you’ll have our website address to hand.

We also sell them in 10s on our trade page >here< and if you prefer to use eBay for some reason, you can find them on that platform >here<. We don’t list them on Amazon because we don’t like to feed the beast.

The Sebo Shop at Manchester Vacs are approved Sebo dealers offering next-day UK delivery on all domestic and commercial Sebo vacuum cleaners and spare parts.
