Happiest news for Filipinos, Indonesians, Asians and African domestic workers, this big news will make your day. Finally, all private hiring agencies for domestic helpers are closed. No more scam on visas. As we shared in our last blog that UAE to shut all private hiring companies soon, it is the time to see the results. Now all private companies have been closed and UAE has announced MOHRE approved services centers (recruitment agencies). The new list of Approved service centers are released on 18 December 2023. Do not Work for Others:The MOHRE has blocked files of 153 employers, imposing fines on them as their domestic workers were caught working for others. This comes as part of a joint campaign organized in collaboration with the ICP UAE (Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security), to inspect non-compliant workers across the country. Administrative penalties will be enforced against employers whose files are banned including the denial of new domestic worker permits, along with their referral to the Public Prosecution for legal and financial actions, which may amount to up to AED 50,000. The same measures will be taken against the companies employing them. MOHRE urge employers not to engage or bring in non-compliant domestic workers, enabling them to work for others without resolving their status. This is an explicit violation of legislations and poses health and social risks to employers and their families.
