AB Yachts and Maiora Introduce New Models

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show this Fall hosted many new-model introductions. Among them were three new projects from AB Yachts.

Roy Capasso, AB Yachts head of sales, unveiled the AB95. The new model takes forward the innovations introduced with the AB110, which was recently showcased at the European boat shows and which integrates all the technical and technological features developed by the brand over its 30-year history—its reliability, engineering solutions, propulsion system, and construction materials with the new design concept by architect Marco Casamonti/Archea Associati.

AB95

The AB95 comes in two versions. The first follows in the wake of her larger sistership combining stylish, generous convivial areas with the distinctive sporty technology of the brand to achieve the perfect marriage between comfort and adventure. She remains a sporty vessel characterized by low noise and vibration, but can now offer more onboard livability, comfort and wellbeing. The exteriors and interiors are luxurious, airy, and welcoming. One example is the flybridge where reverse glazing along the boat’s profile further increases space and comfort and offers an outlook over the sea, accessible from the aft deck via two carbon fiber external staircases.

The second version, the AB95 S, has been created for owners focused on pursuing the thrill of pure adrenaline and the exhilaration of speeding on the water safely and stylishly. She features sinuous and sporty lines, a convertible roof integrated into her streamlined profile and a propulsion system capable of delivering impressive speed and nimble maneuvering.

AB95 S

Both models share a number of elements that are rooted in the brand’s DNA, such as ease of maneuvering, efficiency (particularly at high cruising speeds), the near absence of vibrations, and maximum safety.

All living spaces can be tailored to an owner’s wishes, allowing him or her to create a yacht that will reflect their own personal onboard lifestyle and their unique way of finding the closest possible contact with the sea and nature. The yacht’s 4 foot draft enables entry into many desirable ports and anchorages.

“This model embodies a new style of cruising—powerful, safe, efficient, noiseless and immensely fascinating,” Capasso says. “We are certain the AB95 is going to meet, and exceed, our Owners' wishes and requirements".

Exuma 36

Daniele Caronna, Maiora head of sales, presented some details of the latest project in the fleet, the new Exuma 36. Designed by Quartostile for exteriors and Acube Design for interiors, the new model is an evolution of the award-winning model that redefined the concept of versatility by blending together the volumes, luxury and comfort of traditional flybridge yachts and the adventurous personality of an explorer.

Capable of a top speed of 35 knots, according to the builder, the Maiora 36 Exuma is a standout in her segment, Caronna says. Her draft of 4 ½ feet offers access to many Mediterranean beaches and desirable destinations in the Caribbean.
